Dr Alan Wade and Dr Gordon Crawford, the founders of Patients Direct, have worked in drug development and clinical trials for over 25 years and have significant experience in designing studies, influencing protocols, writing articles and have over 50 book contributions and peer-reviewed publications. They have presented data to the FDA and EMA as well as supporting a client in filing a successful New Drug Application with the EMA.

Following an academic career in anaesthesia, Alan was in General Practice as a partner and has interests in the Pharmaceutical Industry, advertising and medical education with a special interest in Neuropsychopharmacology. Alan has been a member of a number of International Advisory boards for several top 10 Pharmaceutical companies in this field. He regularly lectures at international congresses and academic meetings.

Gordon combines his work as a senior partner in a GP practice with his long term interest in pharmaceutical medicine. He has been the Principle Investigator in more than fifty clinical trials in a variety of diverse indications. His particular interest is in helping patients influence both the development and the safety of new drugs and other medical treatments.

Neil has worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry for 18 years, with 3 years as head of marketing and 3 years as Medical Director in the UK as well as time in France and South Africa. In addition, Neil has worked for the Scottish Government and gained an MBA at the University of Warwick. He is on the specialist register for Pharmaceutical Medicine.

Lesley leads our team of experienced registered nurses who are responsible for the liaison with patients, patient recruitment, management and data collection. All nurses have an extensive range of experience in all therapeutic areas and undertake regular training.
